I got a little video camera, and since I don’t understand video editing software AT ALL, I started making little gif’s in PhotoShop. Here are my first 2.
I photographed the 2010 Red Hook Crit. I brought out my 4×5 and Norman 200b, and set up like a total nerd. Guessing where to focus in the pitch black streets of Brooklyn is challenging, especially when shooting wide open. Click the pics for larger versions.

I photographed Landmine Marathon last year in Brooklyn, and a German hardcore/metal magazine called Fuze ran one of the photos. I usually wouldn’t post up such a small tear sheet, but it says “Foto: Blake Sinclair”. How cool is that! I wish I could read German, because the issue has some great bands.

I saw Coalesce a couple weeks ago with Harvey Milk in NYC. It’s been about 10 years since I saw them last. They are one of a handful of hardcore bands whose albums actually get better through the years.
I definitely don’t consider myself a “live band photographer”, but i figured since I was up front with my t4, why not annoy the band with some flashes?
